### Dunlop Sport Maxx RT — Premium-Sommerreifen mit Fokus auf Grip und Bremsen

In 16 Fachtests der Jahre 2012 bis 2015 — darunter EVO, Auto Bild, Sport Auto und ADAC — landete der **Sport Maxx RT** im Schnitt etwa auf dem fünften Rang, mit Ausreissern bis an die Spitze. Dunlop legte diesen Max-Performance-Sommerreifen (erste RT-Generation, eingeführt 2014) bewusst auf Grip und Sicherheit aus, insbesondere auf kurze Bremswege.

#### Stärken und Grenzen

Die Tester lobten vor allem den **Trocken- und Nassgriff**, das Nassbremsen und die Aquaplaning-Reserven. Der Preis dafür ist der wohl größte Kritikpunkt:

- **Stärken:** sehr guter Trockengriff, sicheres Nassverhalten, kurze Bremswege, starke Aquaplaning-Reserven, stabiles Hochgeschwindigkeitsverhalten
- **Schwächen:** deutlich erhöhter Verschleiß, eher weiche Flanken mit etwas indirektem Ersteinschlag, zunehmendes Abrollgeräusch bei fortschreitender Abnutzung

Das EU-Label fällt je nach Größe unterschiedlich aus: Kraftstoffeffizienz **B bis E**, Nassgriff **B bis A**, Geräusch **69 bis 72 dB**.

Wer sportlich fährt und kompromisslosen Grip schätzt, findet hier einen überzeugenden Reifen — sofern eine geringere Laufleistung akzeptabel ist. Beachten Sie, dass es inzwischen die Nachfolge-Generation Sport Maxx RT 2 gibt; diese RT-Position ist die erste Generation.

### Dunlop — Reifenpionier mit über 135 Jahren Geschichte

Dunlop gehört zu den ältesten Namen der Reifenwelt. Die Marke geht auf den schottischen Tierarzt **John Boyd Dunlop** zurück, der **1888** das erste Patent für einen luftgefüllten Fahrradreifen anmeldete und damit den modernen Pneu mit begründete. Anfang **2025** kaufte Sumitomo Rubber das Dunlop-Geschäft für 701 Millionen US-Dollar zurück; Goodyear darf den Namen in Europa noch für eine Übergangszeit per Lizenz nutzen. Damit liegt die Marke heute wieder fest in der Hand von Sumitomo Rubber Industries.

#### Technik und Stärken

Dunlop ist traditionell stark im **sportlichen und im komfortorientierten Sommerreifen-Bereich**. Bekannte Baureihen sind die UHP-Linie *Sport Maxx*, der komfortable *Sport BluResponse* mit gutem Ruf in unabhängigen Tests sowie dessen 2026 eingeführter Nachfolger *Blue Response TG*, der den AMS-Sommerreifentest 2026 gewann.
